Candle Care
Candle Memory
On your candle’s first burn, let it flicker for at least one hour, allowing the wax to form a complete melt pool. This creates a smooth, even burn for all the moments to come. Candles have a memory, extinguishing them too soon can cause tunnelling, which will shape the way for all future burns.
Candle Care
Safety: For a safe and long life of your candle, burn for no more than 4 hours at a time, and stop when 1.5cm of wax remains. Once finished, clean and prepare your glass for their second-life.
Wicks: Always trim your wicks each time before you light your candles, this keeps the flame healthy and ensures a clean burn.
Candle Glass Cleaning
Once your candle has burned its last glow, cleaning the glass is easy.
Carefully pour hot water into the jar. As the water cools, the leftover wax will rise to the surface and harden. If you leave it overnight, you can pop the solid wax out in one piece.
If you're in a hurry pour in the hot water and wait until the wax has dispersed from the bottom. Gently pour it out and discard it onto a paper towel over the sink (never pour wax down the drain). Wipe away any leftover wax or soot with a paper towel and throw it in the bin. Then wash the glass with warm, soapy water.
Lata glasses are dishwasher safe, but please make sure all wax is removed before placing them inside.
